How to make a useful comparison
Hold all but one important variable constant. Compare two Regions with the same usage, two instance types with the same runtime, or two hosting profiles with the same traffic. That isolates the effect of the choice instead of mixing unrelated changes.
Never describe the difference as guaranteed savings. A lower public unit rate can be outweighed by latency, data transfer, resilience, migration work or operational complexity.
